Riva Granda is based in Col San Martino, in the heart of the territory where Valdobbiadene DOCG is produced; an area of huge natural beauty and cultural and historical value. The area boasts a winemaking tradition several centuries long, which has deeply influenced the current landscape of mild and steep vineyards as far as the eye can see. These lands host ancient castles and sacred buildings, as well as hidden paths and trails between villages, vineyards and woods. Founded in 569 by Lombardic leader Alboino, who also built the fortified complex Torri di Credazzo, the town of Farra di Soligo owes its wealth to Cistercian and Benedictine monks who initiated a flourishing agricultural tradition.
